Signs and Beautification
The Lake Highlands Sign & Beautification project was created to build a unified theme for Lake Highlands by preparing landscaping and signage at the numerous gateway entry points, medians, and intersections at this popular close-in neighborhood. This is a massive beautification project for the Lake Highlands area that will take several years to complete.
Designed to match signage at White Rock Lake and to complement signs proposed for the bridge at Northwest Highway and Skillman by the Texas Department of Transportation, the Lake Highlands signs will accommodate two considerations. Each sign will be accented with native Texas plantings requiring minimum watering and two trees that will be planted in the street medians. With 75 possible sign locations in Lake Highlands, the current plans would result in the planting of 150 trees.
